Celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year, the annual watch and jewellery showcase A Journey Through Time was held once again at Starhill Gallery in Kuala Lumpur. From 4th to 13th November, the yearly exhibition delivered 10 days of glamorous nights and prestigious celebrations — including the Tourism and Culture Gala Night: Watch and Jewellery of the Year Awards Presentation 2016, a showcase by JeweLuxe®, and a musical performance by British mezzo-soprano Ms Carly Paoli.
First established in 2007, A Journey Through Time envisioned itself to be the centre of fashion, art, music, and fine food in Kuala Lumpur, where watch and jewellery connoisseurs can gather together. Now on its 10th year, the show celebrated its partnership with The Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, and featured a curation of over 125 watch and jewellery brands.
The opening night paid attention to the event’s distinguished guests by presenting seven coveted awards. The Tourism and Culture Gala Night: Watch and Jewellery of the Year Awards Presentation 2016 included the Starhill Gallery Favourite Ladies’ Watch Award, Starhill Gallery Favourite Men’s Watch Award, and Starhill Gallery Timeless Jewellery Award among others. Bedat & Co.‘s Ref 324.450.800 walked away with the Favourite Ladies’ Watch Award; while Moritz Grossmann‘s Benu Tourbillon took home the award for Judges’ Choice.
In addition, JeweLuxe® made its Malaysian showcase debut with a stunning display of fine jewellery from international brands, namely Paolo Costagli New York, Hans D. Krieger Fine Jewellery, Infiniti Jewels, ZYDO, and others. Timeless Royal Weave, Dame Zandra Rhodes, and Lord’s Tailors took over the fashion segment of the 10-day event, putting on a series of fashion showcase and a peek into their latest collections.
