First time in South East Asia, the Swiss haute horlogerie brand, Blancpain held its Ocean Commitment Exhibition at the iconic Suria KLCC mall in the capital of Malaysia. Running from 27th July to 31st July 2016, the exhibition’s aim was to further promote the brand’s commitment to protecting the oceans and increase global awareness to preserve resources.
The exhibition was divided into three sections — Birth of A Legend, Ocean Exploration and Art in Ocean — introducing Blancpain’s connection to the world of diving and commitment to ocean preservation since the development of the first modern diving watch, the Fifty Fathoms. The Ocean Commitment Exhibition showcased the important relationships the brand has established and its environmental initiatives to explore, preserve and protect the world’s oceans. It also further immersed visitors into the deep sea with colour photography captured by famous underwater photographers who are friends of Blancpain.
A highlight of the exhibition, the brand introduced its latest Fifty Fathoms addition, the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe launched at BaselWorld early this year.
The opening of the exhibition was graced by Mr Alain Delamuraz, Vice President and Head of Marketing of Blancpain, Laurent Ballesta and Imran Ahmad, Blancpain Ocean Commitment partners, with retail partner Cortina Watch and VIP guests. The opening was followed by an exclusive dinner at NOBU.
