A name that rings a bell, Jane Seymour is famously known for her role in one of Ian Fleming’s dramatised works — Live and Let Die — as Bond girl, ‘Solitaire’. Recently, World of Diamonds has immortalised the actress, in the world of jewellery at least, by honouring her with an exceptional, rare blue diamond ring named after her.
Presented by the British Theatre Playhouse, and supported by World of Diamonds, Noel Coward’s The Vortex, starring Jane Seymour, ran for an exclusive two and half weeks at the iconic Jubilee Hall of the Raffles Hotel Singapore early this month. To celebrate this partnership, World of Diamonds specially crafted a dazzling fancy vivid blue diamond ring in platinum named The Jane Seymour. A highlight to the collaboration, the ring was presented at various events held in Singapore to celebrate the actress’ accomplishments in the film industry.
The rare 2.08ct cushion-cut blue diamond in its rough state was not symmetrical in structure, risking a possible colour diminish if there were any miscalculations in cutting and setting. But setting it in platinum — one of the most enduring metals in the world, by top craftsmen at World of Diamonds Group who have meticulously designed and constructed its band with flower motif details — has brought out the elegance and beauty of the stone.
The blue diamond ring was first presented to the actress during a welcoming dinner party for the cast members upon their arrival at CÉ LA VI Singapore on the 25th April.
