MIRACLE DIAMOND

Discovered 220 kilometres south of the Arctic Circle, the Diavik Foxfire is a large 187.7ct rough diamond. The rare stone was found at Diavik diamond mine in Canada’s Northwest Territories, an arm of British-Australian mining company, Rio Tinto. It is claimed to be extremely rare to find a diamond at such a huge size in North America.

Up for auction this month, the rough stone can produce at least one 50ct polished diamond. Potential bidder from Optimum DIamonds intends to keep it at its unpolished state and appreciate its rarity.
