A CELEBRATION OF JAZZ

An unforgettable night of glamour, music, and philanthropy

The JASS Benefit Gala 2024 annual fundraising event will be held on 19 October at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore’s Island Ballroom.

Organised by the Jazz Association (Singapore) (JASS), the funds raised will go towards JASS’s mission of fostering jazz excellence, nurturing young talent, and leveraging jazz as a powerful tool for community outreach and building Singapore into a thriving city of jazz.

Themed “Love is Here to Stay – Gala of Peace and Love”, the event is expected to welcome 600 distinguished guests. Headlining the gala is Grammy Award-winning jazz vocalist Carmen Bradford,  renowned for her electrifying performances with the legendary Count Basie Orchestra. She will perform alongside the Jazz Association Singapore Orchestra (JASSO), led by JASS Executive Director and Music Director Jeremy Monteiro.

The evening will also feature young vocalist  Sneha Menon, a rising star from the Jazz Association Singapore Youth Orchestra, who made waves at the recent Lion City Jazz Festival.

The highlight the event is the “Build Your Legacy Through Jazz” pledge segment, an inspiring initiative where donors are encouraged to donate to create a lasting legacy for their loved ones via bespoke compositions by talented musicians from JASS including Jeremy Monteiro. The segment also helps to build a library of jazz compositions by local composers. Since the initiative was launched in 2022, 10 works have been created.

Guests will enjoy an exquisite gourmet dining experience curated by the chefs of Shangri-La. There will also be a charity auction, a Best-Dressed competition, and a dance segment where guests can dance their night away

Together with fine food and music, the JASS Benefit Gala 2024 promises a multi-sensorial experience.
