THE JULIA NECKLACE BY MARC NEWSON

Listed as one of Time‘s 100 Most Influential People in the World, Marc Newson is not a name to be missed. Featuring an all-round portfolio from working with international clients, his creations cover from furniture, household objects, cars and to even, private aircraft.

The Sydney-born designer introduces a spectacular jewellery piece, the Julia Necklace that features 2,000 pavé stones including sparkling diamonds and sapphires set on white gold. The piece was inspired by the Julia set fractals — geometric shapes that are subdivided into smaller versions — that was founded by Gaston Julia in the early 1900s.

Clocking 1,500 hours to complete the piece, the necklace’s highlight is the minimal three-prong setting that makes the stones appear like they are floating when worn.
