New Luxurious Hotel Suites To Stay In Singapore and Hong Kong

From Singapore’s sky-high sanctuaries to Hong Kong’s harbour-facing elegance, these new suites show how urban luxury is evolving—upwards, in every sense.

Island Shangri-La’s Hong Kong

Island Shangri-La’s Hong Kong Suite has emerged from a multi-year transformation with a refreshed identity that blends contemporary Asian sophistication with unmistakable Hong Kong character. Perched on the 50th floor, the suite offers a cinematic sweep of the city.

The interiors are anchored by painted fabric walls, bespoke furnishings, and a curated selection of art and antiques. Notable among them: 19th-century paintings of traditional sampans sourced from Christie’s auction house. The living and dining areas offers plush, modern comfort, with views stretching toward either the harbour or Victoria Peak. A dedicated pantry – equipped with a full kitchenette, alongside filtered water tap, dual-zone wine fridge and amenity fridge – supports discreet butler service and customised in-suite dining. Tea service is elevated with a delicate range of tea leaves for you to prepare in your room.

In the bedroom, a king-size bed faces a generous daybed positioned by floor-to-ceiling windows. An intricate wall mural above the bed mirrors the lush greenery of Victoria Peak and the neighbouring botanical gardens. The adjoining dressing room continues this motif with textured wallpaper featuring traditional Chinese lucky clouds and pines. Ample wardrobe space accommodates couture, jewellery, and key travel essentials with ease.

The en-suite bathroom, wrapped in white marble, is designed as a private wellness retreat. An expansive walk-in shower features twin rain-shower heads and a heated bench; double vanities are stocked with Acqua di Parma amenities; and a sculptural round bathtub sits beneath a golden ceiling, framed by hand-cut magnolia-inspired mosaics. Enhance the ritual with the Shangri-La Signature Bath Salt, crafted by Yun Wellenss, while a built-in TV and Bluetooth speaker offer a discreet dose of entertainment.

The hotel has recently expanded its wellness and dining offerings with the launch of Yun Wellness, a serene sanctuary anchored by a tranquil pool deck. Nearby, Ming Pavilion offers a contemporary expression of Hokkien cuisine. Meanwhile, one-Michelin-starred Petrus continues its reign as a destination for classic French fine dining, and Summer Palace remains a benchmark for elegant Cantonese cooking. Guests of the Hong Kong Suite also enjoy access to the Horizon Club Lounge, with exclusive privileges including daily breakfast and evening cocktails.

Marina Bay Sands

Marina Bay Sands completed its major room refurbishment this year, unveiling 1,850 redesigned rooms, including 775 suites. The Sands Collection has a portfolio of 1,480 refreshed rooms and suites that redefines modern luxury across the landmark hotel. For suite guests, the experience begins from the moment you arrive, with a dedicated premium service team ensuring a seamless journey from check-in to departure.

The redesigned residential-style accommodations feature expansive balconies furnished for outdoor lounging, plush living and dining areas. The spacious marble bathrooms with dual vanities elevate both comfort and ease. Other amenities include a cocktail trolley with liquor and cocktail garnishes, and a full mini bar with chocolates, Nespresso coffee and fine teas.

At the pinnacle of the renovation sits the Paiza Collection, an ensemble of 370 ultra-luxurious suites conceived for discerning travellers. Each suite blends contemporary elegance with thoughtful functionality, creating self-contained residences in the sky.

Anchoring the collection is the three- to four-bedroom Chairman Suite, a grand entertaining space equipped with a commanding 146-inch television, private karaoke area, and fully stocked kitchen. The two-bedroom Presidential Suite caters to leisure seekers with its private golf simulator, preloaded with world-famous courses for practice sessions at any hour. Meanwhile, the one-bedroom Horizon Suite embraces a dedicated spa-in-the-city approach, featuring a Himalayan salt wall, hammam shower, dry sauna, private gym, and two massage tables—allowing guests to enjoy a full wellness experience without leaving their suite.

Paiza guests enjoy a series of exclusive privileges starting with Paiza VIP Arrival, a private lounge that offers discreet check-in and direct access via dedicated lifts. The Paiza Sky Residence (the hotel’s executive club lounge) provides an elevated setting for quiet work, intimate meetings or champagne at sunset. Supporting these services is a 160-strong Butler Services team, ensuring attentive round-the-clock care.

For gourmands, there are plenty of options from casual dining to Michelin-starred establishments. Waku Ghin, led by Tetsuya Wakuda, continues to be a destination for exquisite omakase, while CUT by Wolfgang Puck remains a standout for superb steaks. Breakfast at Spago is a great idea thanks to its breezy poolside setting and sweeping views across Marina Bay. In the evenings, head up to LAVO for a heart-warming Italian feast topped with fine wines.
