Christie’s will be facilitating an online auction of The Private Collection of Joan Rivers from 16 – 23 June. The late New York comedian and award-winning television host was best known for her works as the first female host of a late night network television talk show and in E!’s Fashion Police as a fashion critic.
The auction opens up the intimate world of the iconic entertainment host where prized items such as her dog’s Tiffany & Co. Dog Bowl and favourite jewellery collections including Harry Winston’s diamond and platinum flower brooch and Chanel’s Lady Première wristwatch are on sale.
A fan of Fabergé’s works, bidders can expect to see a large collection of objects that Rivers collected from the brand. From a jeweled gold-mounted nephrite photograph frame, a rare and jeweled gold-mounted nephrite study of a Lily of the Valley Leaf to a stunning turquoise and pearl-set silver bracelet.
