All-white timepieces to kickstart the New Year

Classic, clean, and chic, white is a refreshing shade to wear throughout the year. White watches, in particular, give off a casual yet sophisticated vibe. Opt for a sleek leather and white gold option for a sporty style, or go luxe with mother-of-pearl and diamonds alternative for an elegant day-to-evening wear.

Harry Winston

At 29mm, the Midnight Automatic is petite — but therein lies its beauty. Stylish and elegant, it has only hour and minute hands, which minimise clutter on the natural white mother-of-pearl dial. The dial forms a delicate backdrop for the feminine gold Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o´clock, accented by eight brilliant-cut diamonds and arrow-shaped hour markers. The 18K red gold case adds a pop of colour, which is also set with 64 precious stones. For the brand, the Midnight Automatic marks the first time a 29mm watch is fitted with a mechanical automatic movement.

Château de Versailles and its Gardens have been an inspiration to Monsieur Dior from the very beginning. It’s no surprise, then, that the Dior Grand Soir Royal Botanic watches have been imbued with this legacy. There are three pieces in the collection, all playing with volume to give the illusion of a garden blossoming under the glass. This watch features a velvet strap, decorated with diamonds, pearls, and gold, and with a bezel delicately paved with snow-set diamonds of different sizes. Inside, it is equipped with a quartz movement with a timesetting corrector, while the caseback is in polished gold.

“Pared-down purity” is how Hermès has described the Slim d’Hermès. It is a fitting description, given its understated lines and slender silhouette. It features a translucent magnolia white lacquered dial, with black Arabic numerals. The original font resembles a musical score, created by graphic designer Philippe Apeloig. The dial also features a minute circle, pearl-shaped hour-markers, sunburst chapter ring, and rhodium-plated sandblasted baton-type hands. Powered by a quartz movement, the stainless steel case with 60 diamonds is fitted with a white matte alligator-leather strap.

Jaquet Droz

In the Grande Seconde Tourbillon Mother of Pearl, Jaquet Droz gives a feminine touch to the tourbillon. It is prominently featured at the top, surrounded by gleaming mother of pearl. This is the first time the watchmaker has given it a silicon balance spring and pallet horns. Below the tourbillon is the hour and minute chapter ring with Roman numerals and blued-steel hands. All these are housed in a 39mm red gold case with brilliant-cut diamonds. Limited to 88 pieces, the watch is fitted with a matching white satin strap.

Moritz Grossman

The TEFNUT Sleeping Beauty is a collaboration between Singapore jewellery brand Caratell and independent watchmaker Moritz Grossmann. The 36mm white gold case has an asymmetric dial architecture that is adorned with a mother-of-pearl fairy tale moon, Roman numerals, asymmetric guillochéd pattern and seconds subdial. The case height rises gently from the crown to the 9 o‘clock side before ending with freely suspended lugs decorated with precious stone cabochons. It has a compact Calibre 102.0 movement that offers 48 hours of power reserve.
